Chelsea owner Todd Boehly keen to steal a march on a deal for Joao Felix

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is keen to steal a march on a deal for Joao Felix with the Atletico Madrid wanted by some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been credited with a strong interest in moving in for the wantaway Portuguese forward who has fallen out of favour in the Spanish capital with the Atletico boss Diego Simeone.

According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that the Blues camp are looking to move ahead of the other suitors in the chase for the 23-year-old Felix who can provide the extra impetus going forward for Graham Potter’s men.

Potter is very much in the transfer market for a new attacker to bolster his front line which has come under fire this season for their underwhelming displays despite the arrival of Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last summer.

Moreover, an injury to the young Armando Broja which has sidelined him for the remainder of the campaign has further added to the concerns for Potter to bring in a new signing for the squad.
