Chelsea make an approach for Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea have reportedly made an approach for Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho whose future at Old Trafford remains up in the air.

United signed Garnacho from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid two years back and his rise to prominence in recent times have made other top clubs across Europe keep tabs on him.

According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that Chelsea face a tough contest to land the Argentine attacking talent who appears intent on penning extended terms at Old Trafford which are due for renewal at the end of the season.

It is said that should the 18-year-old decide to leave the United camp, he would be keen to move abroad rather than link up with rival club Chelsea who are ready to overhaul their squad in the forthcoming January transfer window.

Graham Potter’s side have been on the lookout for viable options to improve their midfield and attack with Chelsea also tipped to sign a new centre-back to add cover in the backline with summer recruit Wesley Fofana sidelined due to a long term injury.
