Serie A giants Juventus are said to be plotting a swoop for Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount whose contract renewal talks at the Bridge have reached a stalemate.
Mount has been engaged in negotiations with the Blues camp since the turn of the year but recent reports have indicated that Chelsea have been unable to tie their star attacker down to a new long-term deal.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Mount has found a new suitor in the Turin heavyweights Juventus who have identified the Blues first-teamer as a top name on their shopping list.
Juventus could make an approach for the England international as early as the end of next season with the Serie A outfit willing to let three players – Leandro Paredes, Weston McKennie and Adrien Rabiot – depart to make room in their squad.
Mount’s current terms in west London are due to expire in the summer of 2024 and a potential departure from the Chelsea camp will likely force Graham Potter and Co. into a search for a new recruit.
