According to the latest news, The Blues will face stiff competition from the Los Blancos in the pursuit of AC Milan winger Suso Fernandes in the winter transfer window.
Suso has been absolutely brilliant for AC Milan over the past few years and the former Liverpool winger is now a target for Chelsea. These impressive performances have been on the radars of Real Madrid and Chelsea of late. Both these European superpowers are observing the 24-year-old’s development and believe that he could be a great fit at their respective clubs. With a release clause of just €40 million, the Spanish midfielder is likely to be a bargain if he fulfills expectations at either Chelsea or Real Madrid
There is no doubt that Milan will do almost everything in order to tie down the Spanish wizard at the San Siro. Therefore, the owner of his services AC Milan is looking to remove the release clause from Suso’s contract so that they can willingly demand what they want for the player if there is foreign interest. Moreover, the Italians believe that the 24-year-old is worth a lot more than what his release clause which is barely anything in this current transfer market.
As per news outlet Sky Sports Italia, Suso’s representatives met the club’s officials at Casa Milan to discuss on the terms regarding his buyout price. However, it is clear that Suso’s representatives and the player himself will ask for an incremental rise in his wages of an annual €3 million if they are to remove the release fee.
With Real Madrid’s prime target Eden Hazard, Chelsea may have to shell out the cash to replace the Belgian if he decides to leave for the Spanish capital. Suso could be an ideal replacement for Hazard as he already has the experience of playing in the Premier League.
