Chelsea and RB Leipzig have reportedly agreed upon a deal in principle for Christopher Nkunku who is now in the running to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
According to a claim from the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, it is hinted that the two clubs do have struck agreement on a verbal agreement for Nkunku to head to the English capital city come the end of the season.
The France international, on the back of his impressive run of showings in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, had been earmarked as a top name on the shopping list by the Chelsea camp ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
Chelsea’s co-owner Todd Boehly has been hard at work quickly and decisively to lay the groundwork for the completion of the transfer to bring in Nkunku with the competition heating up to sign the French attacker.
Graham Potter has been working with the same attackers that the ex-head coach Thomas Tuchel failed to get the best out of and Chelsea’s misfiring front line needs reinforcements sooner rather than later.
