FC Barcelona mulling over a move for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante

FC Barcelona are said to be mulling over a move for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante whose terms at Stamford Bridge are due to expire at the end of the season.

The La Liga giants are expected to dip into the market for a midfield face come next summer with Sergio Busquets leaving and it is rumoured that Kante has emerged on their transfer radar.

According to a report from the Spanish outlet Relevo, it is claimed that Barcelona have identified Kante as their priority name on the shopping list following the uncertainty that surrounds the Frenchman’s future in the Chelsea shirt.

He has turned out just two times this season for the west Londoners and the hamstring injury he picked up against Tottenham in August has further sidelined him until after the World Cup later this year.

Chelsea are unwilling to offer Kante a three-year deal – one which is desired by the World Cup-winning maestro, and the 31-year-old could be open to sealing a move to either Arsenal or Spurs- Chelsea’s local rivals.
