As reported by the Daily Mail, Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech’s representatives allegedly spoke with AC Milan about a possible move in the January transfer window.
Ziyech signed Chelsea from Ajax in 2020 for £37 million, and he inked a five-year contract with the blues. However, he has only managed to score 14 goals and assist 10 others in 88 games across all competitions, indicating that he has never really rediscovered his best form at Stamford Bridge.
The Moroccan star has been playing sparingly for the Blues squad this year, and his situation has not changed since boss Graham Potter took over.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Ziyech explore a move outside of London given that he has only played five times this season across all competitions. According to the report, Sebastien Ledure, one of Ziyech’s advisors, has now spoken with AC Milan about a transfer.
Ledure is bonded with Roc Nations, a firm that assists Ziyech in negotiations, and is on excellent terms with the Chelsea board. Romelu Lukaku was re-signed by Inter Milan from Chelsea in the summer thanks to Ledure’s role in the deal.
AC Milan has had their eye on the 29-year-old for some time, and it looks like they may have finally found out that the winger is interested in moving in January.
The 29-year-old may be a key player for the Serie A side in the second half of the season if they can have him perform at his best.
The winger’s former club Ajax is also thought to be interested in signing Ziyech and it is reported that they tried to acquire his services last summer.
