According to Fichajes, Newcastle United are leading the pack to sign Chelsea outcast Christian Pulisic, with the Magpies hoping to sign the attacker during the January transfer window.
The American’s future was the subject of much discussion over the summer, with Manchester United among the teams said to be interested in his services.
In the end, Pulisic stayed at Stamford Bridge past the summer transfer window, but despite making 11 appearances across all competitions this season, he has had trouble finding consistent playing time. The 24-year-old has started just once in the Premier League since Graham Potter took over as head coach, and he has only played 21 minutes of Champions League football all year.
Newcastle has expressed interest in Pulisic, and the forward has said he would be open to moving to St James’ Park this January. Eddie Howe’s team might make a bid of roughly £35 million, which Chelsea could accept because the American international is about to enter the final 18 months of his contract.
During a busy stretch of the season, Blues head coach Potter recently stated that Pulisic was pushing for a start and he would be ready. However, he is nowhere near the form he once showed with Borussia Dortmund.
The forward has 126 appearances for Chelsea, with 26 goals and 20 assists. But his lack of playing time may affect his future as Potter prefers to start Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of the 24-year-old.

Newcastle has had a strong start to the season, earning 18 points from their first 11 games, placing them in sixth place in the Premier League standings and making them one of the wealthiest clubs as a result of their recent takeover.
It would be no surprise if Howe’s team comes up with a new bid this January.
