Ex-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel took to Twitter to post a heartfelt farewell after his sacking from the Stamford Bridge top job last week.
The German was dismissed as the head coach of Chelsea just hours after his side suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League opener with the Chelsea board quick to bring in Graham Potter as the replacement.
This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write – and it is one which I hoped I would not need to do for many years. I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end. pic.twitter.com/0TTlUOjWDx

In his recent tweet, Tuchel admitted that he is “devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end” with the 49-year-old expressing his gratitude to the staff, players and fans for making his Chelsea stint a memorable one.
Chelsea’s chairman-owner Todd Boehly was eager to hire the Brighton boss Potter with the Stamford Bridge giants paying out a £21 milllion compensation fee to confirm the much-awaited appointment.
Potter’s arrival is sure to shake things up at the club with the 47-year-old manager, who enjoyed great success with Brighton, expected to be a key part of Boehly’s long-term plans for Chelsea with the American businessman looking to hit the ground running.
