Chelsea play hosts to city rivals West Ham United over the weekend in the Premier League with the Blues looking for a much-needed return to form.
Thomas Tuchel’s side were handed a 2-1 defeat by Southampton last time around with the Chelsea boss under fire for his players failing to impress early on in the new season.
Let us now have a look at how Thomas Tuchel might set up his Chelsea side against West Ham United –
3-4-2-1
Edouard Mendy will retain his berth on the starting team sheet to feature between the goalposts despite the shot-stopper’s recent showings way below his usual standards.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta should form the three-man defensive lineup with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marc Cucurella in the wing-back roles.
In the heart of the midfield for the home side Chelsea, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, the latter back from his injury spell, should be the options in the engine room for Tuchel.
Armando Broja could be in line to replace Kai Havertz as the central striking option with Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount operating in the wide roles.
