Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to hijack Chelsea’s approach for Anthony Gordon who is a top target for Thomas Tuchel before the summer window slams shut next week.
The Everton starlet has been subject to serious interest from the Chelsea camp in recent weeks with Tuchel eyeing up a late-window attacking reinforcement to freshen his front line for the new season.
According to a report from the Evening Standard, it is claimed that Spurs, who had previously explored a deal to bring in Gordon, are keen on reviving their long-standing pursuit of the 21-year-old forward.
Everton’s quoted price of around £60 million put off Spurs from stepping up their approach to land Gordon’s signature but Antonio Conte’s North Londoners could be set to join the race once again much to the displeasure of Chelsea.
The Blues have identified Gordon as a viable player to add to their attacking roster in time for deadline day this coming Thursday with the Stamford Bridge outfit ready to meet Everton’s high valuation of their academy product.
