Chelsea and Leicester City have reportedly struck a verbal agreement over Wesley Fofana’s transfer which could set the stage for his move to the Bridge this summer.
Fofana has emerged as Chelsea’s priority on the transfer front with Thomas Tuchel looking to bring in reinforcements to shore up his backline which lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen earlier in the transfer window.

According to a report from the French news outlet RMC Sport, it is claimed that Chelsea will be in line to agree upon an initial £70 million fee plus further add-ons, taking it to the potential £80 million mark.
Tuchel will be delighted to snap up his long-standing target Fofana for Chelsea before September 1’s deadline with the 21-year-old centre-back’s arrival expected to provide the manager with a viable name at the back.
Kalidou Koulibaly was Chelsea’s first signing of the summer window with the Chelsea head coach Tuchel eyeing up new signings to add to his options in the defensive lineup for the start of the new season.
