Raheem Sterling is understood to be holding out for his medical results ahead of finalising the transfer to Chelsea and linking up with new teammates.
According to a report from The Sun, Sterling is waiting for the full results of his medical examination after he underwent tests in London with the England international closing in on joining Thomas Tuchel’s Blues this summer.
The 27-year-old, should he be given the all-clear, will make the travels to Los Angeles to meet the rest of the Chelsea squad who are gearing up for the pre-season tour in the United States.
Sterling is said to have agreed on a big-money £300,000-a-week deal for making the move to the English capital from Manchester City and the winger will pen a five-year contract which has a further 12-month option.
He would become the new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly’s first signing since the American businessman took over at the Bridge earlier this year as Boehly looks to reinforce Thomas Tuchel’s ranks by dipping into the market for fresh faces.
