Senior players in the Chelsea camp are pushing for Thomas Tuchel to move in for Everton’s Richarlison in this summer’s transfer window.
Romelu Lukaku’s imminent departure from the Stamford Bridge fold means that Tuchel could be tasked with bringing in a quality replacement from the market before the next season gets underway.
Lukaku is nearing his return to San Siro on a loan agreement a summer after Chelsea forked out a club-record fee to land the Belgium international striker who failed to hit the ground running despite a host of opportunities handed to him.
According to a report from The Sun, senior Chelsea stars want their club to table an approach for the wantaway Everton dangerman Richarlison with local rivals Tottenham and Arsenal also engaged in the pursuit of the £50 million-rated Brazilian.
The other names said to be on Chelsea’s shopping list for the summer to bolster their misfiring attacking roster are Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele with the latter yet to take a decision over his future as he closes in on a move away from Barcelona.
