Chelsea have been given a £45 million price-tag for Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri with the Premier League champions Manchester City also keen on the player.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have been credited with an interest in the young French defender who has become one of the most coveted names in this summer’s transfer window with England’s biggest clubs eyeing up his signature.
According to a report from The Sun, Wolves have slapped a £45 million asking price on the 21-year-old Ait-Nouri with Chelsea and City hoping to add the Premier League starlet to their ranks before the summer window slams shut.
Marcos Alonso, an experienced option in the wing-back role for Chelsea, is likely to leave the fold with Barcelona interested in his services and Chelsea would be encouraged to bring in a replacement for the outgoing Spaniard.
The departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, both on free transfers, have significantly underwhelmed Chelsea’s defensive roster which could see another exit in the form of Cesar Azpilicueta.
