First Half
With just four minutes on the clock, Mason Mount curled a lovely first-time effort into the top corner to give the visitors an early breakthrough in the first 45 minutes of the game.
Leeds United started the game off poorly but it went from bad to worse after a dangerous lunging challenge from Dan James to Mateo Kovacic saw the home side go down to 10 men.
Lukaku continued his goal-scoring form after scoring a lovely chipped finish over Meslier into the bottom corner but it was ruled out for an offside.
Complete domination from the team in Blue for the first half who took full advantage of Leeds, who were playing with a man down.
Second Half
Chelsea went up a gear in the final 45 minutes of the game and their hard work finally got paid through Christian Pulisic drilling a low shot into the bottom corner to give them a two-goal cushion.
Mount does brilliantly who controls the poor pass from Lukaku to help it onto Pulisic with a level backheel flick.
To give credit for the 97m signing, Lukaku seal the victory for the Blues after a clever move from the substitute Hakim Ziyech who glanced a low cross to pick out the Belgian to score a third of the night.
