Chelsea vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Match report | Premier League

Chelsea hung on for the second game in a row as Wolves got a late equalizer to tie it 2-2 in front of a sell-out crowd at Stamford Bridge.

First Half

The first 45 minutes of the game was been an even for both sides as two managers in Tuchel and Lage went head-to-head in terms of quality.

Werner got an early chance to open the deadlock in the 9th minute of the contest but his show was a tamed low straight into the palms of Jose Sa.

After quite a while, the West Londoners banged the ball inside the net via Loftus-Cheek who arrows the ball into the net at the far post as Chelsea’s corner is flicked on by Thiago Silva, Rudiger, and then Lukaku, but VAR’s intervention stops Chelsea to take the lead.

Wolves, on the other hand, got a chance to score late in the stoppage time of the first half following ait Nouri’s effort at the top left corner from the left of the box.

Second Half

Thomas Tuchel’s side did manage to score past Sa as Romelu Lukaku finally gets himself on the scoresheet after his last one in March from the 12-yard spot.

In addition to that, the Belgian striker doubled the lead for his side and double his tally. Pulisic slides the ball in for Lukaku who beats Sa with a powerful finish.

However, Wolves came up with a late response as the substitute Trincao makes an instant impact from the bench, cutting inside on his left foot to lash past Mendy.

Conor Coady, the away side’s captain, steals a point for Wolves in virtually the last kick of the game to make the score 2-2 after the final whistle.
