West Ham United have slapped a £150 million price tag on Chelsea target Declan Rice who is a top name on the shopping list at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel’s desire to improve upon his midfield options, in light of Jorginho’s future hanging in the balance, has led to speculation that Rice is a priority target for the German.
On the back of his stellar run of displays for both club and country, Rice has the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid chasing his signature ahead of this coming summer transfer window.
A report from Sky Sports, however, has suggested that Chelsea, who are backed to be the frontrunners to land the Blues academy product Rice in the near future, could be forced to fork out a fee in the region of £150 million for the England international midfielder.
The Hammers camp are holding out for a British record transfer fee for the 23-year-old Rice who has emerged as one of the most influential names on the team sheet this season for David Moyes’ high flyers.
