Serie A bigwigs Lazio are understood to be plotting a loan move for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga this coming summer transfer window.
The Italians, under the charge of the former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, are hopeful of landing Kepa’s signature in a loan deal with the Spaniard a top name on the shopping list for Sarri.
A report from Corriere dello Sport has claimed that Kepa, who has played second fiddle to the Senegalese shot-stopper, Edouard Mendy, since his move to Stamford Bridge last summer, could be in line to exit the Chelsea camp.
Thomas Tuchel has drafted Kepa for cup competitions with the latter coming off the bench to replace Mendy for the final few minutes in the recent Carabao Cup final defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Kepa missed the last spot kick of the penalty shootout to hand Liverpool the trophy with Tuchel’s gamble of bringing on the former Bilbao man to steer Chelsea to a win failing to pay off.
