Chelsea are reportedly involved in a three-way contest for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba who is out of contract at Old Trafford come the summer.
Pogba’s future in the Manchester United shirt remains beyond the end of the season up in the air with the midfield maestro yet to renew terms despite United pushing to tie him to a new long-term deal.
According to reports from the Spanish news outlet Fichajes, it is claimed that Thomas Tuchel’s Stamford Bridge camp are keeping tabs on Pogba’s fast escalating situation with a summer swoop for the World Cup-winning Frenchman tipped to be on the cards.
The Blues would be looking to add cover to their midfield department with loan signing Saul Niguez understood to be likely to move back to his parent club Atletico Madrid after an underwhelming stint so far in the English capital.
Should Pogba be made available to suitors in the market, Chelsea will have the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United, the latter on the back of their recent takeover, entering the chase for the 28-year-old.
