Chelsea take on Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday afternoon in the opening fixture for Thomas Tuchel’s men.
The Champions League holders will aim to make it to the finals of the competition and clinch another piece of silverware under Tuchel’s charge despite an uninspiring run of form of late.
Plymouth Argyle proved to be a much tougher opponent than had been expected in the fourth round of the FA Cup for Chelsea who had to rely upon Marcos Alonso’s extra time strike to claim a 2-1 win.
Chelsea, however, are strong favourites for the forthcoming tie and should be in line for a routine victory to book their place in the final of the coveted Club World Cup.
