Chelsea are reportedly set to amp up their approach for Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo much to the disappointment of the Catalan outfit.
Araujo’s long drawn out contract standoff at Camp Nou could mean him heading out the exit door come the summer with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool keeping tabs on his situation.
Joining the fray are Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea outfit with reports from the Spanish news outlet Sport claiming that the west Londoners are keen on tabling an offer worth twice what the Uruguayan earns for the Blaugrana.
Tuchel will be forced to scout the transfer market for reinforcements to add to his backline with the Chelsea manager resigned to losing out on his defensive mainstays Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen as their deals expire in less than six months.
