Chelsea are on firm footing ahead of the second and final leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final clash against city rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Thomas Tuchel’s men make the travels to Spurs on Wednesday night after clinching a much important 2-0 win in the first leg played out at Stamford Bridge.
A strike from Kai Havertz and an own goal from Ben Davies gave the win to the Blues last time around and with one foot already in the final, the visitors will be confident of putting out another solid showing.
Chelsea claimed a thumping 5-1 scoreline against minnows Chesterfield in the FA Cup over the weekend despite Tuchel ringing in major changes to field a second-string XI.
With star regulars set for a return to the team sheet, Chelsea are expected to find it an easy-going away at Spurs who barring the first leg defeat to Chelsea have been upbeat under the new management of Antonio Conte.
