Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea : Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup | EFL 21-22

Chelsea make the travels to city rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night in the midweek second leg contest of the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

The Blues clinched an important 2-0 win in the first leg against Spurs and will hope to see the second and final leg through to book a place in the finals.

Let us now have a look at how Thomas Tuchel might set up his Chelsea side against Spurs –

4-3-3

Kepa will be in line for a return to goalkeeping duties for Chelsea after Thomas Tuchel rested the Spaniard for the FA Cup contest against Chesterfield over the weekend.

Tuchel will also likely be resorting back to a four-man backline with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen slotting in the centre-back roles.

In the heart of the midfield, Mason Mount should partner Mateo Kovacic and Saul Niguez with Tuchel unable to call upon the COVID-19 enforced absentee in N’Golo Kante.

In-form attacking duo Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are expected to retain their berths on the team sheet up top on the pitch with Christian Pulisic joining them in the forward ranks.
