Chelsea play hosts to Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday with the west Londoners hoping to keep up their recent winning ways.
Thomas Tuchel’s men picked up an important win on the road this past weekend against Aston Villa with Jorginho’s brace from the spot and Romelu Lukaku’s strike sealing a 3-1 scoreline.
With Liverpool suffering a shock defeat away at Leicester City earlier this week, Chelsea will hope to go second in the league table with a win over Brighton.
The likes of Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi are back from their COVID-19 absences and are up and running for Tuchel who has to make do with a depleted squad of late during the festive period.
A 2-0 Boxing Day triumph over the league’s new boys Brentford meant a return to winning ways for Brighton after a 12-game winless run across all competitions.
