AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen on making a move for Chelsea midfield man Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the forthcoming January transfer window.
Mourinho’s side are enduring a tough run of form in Italy’s top flight and the manager wants to bring in reinforcements at the turn of the year to bolster his ranks to mount a challenge for a top-four finish.
According to reports from the Spanish news outlet Marca, it is claimed that Mourinho is weighing up a move for the England international Loftus-Cheek who has been key to Thomas Tuchel’s plans at Chelsea this season.
Injuries to N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic, Tuchel’s trusted options to draft in the midfield roles for the west Londoners, have come as a lifeline at Stamford Bridge for Loftus-Cheek.
