Chelsea are reportedly preparing a new contract proposal for veteran defender Thiago Silva whose current deal expires at the end of the season.
Silva becomes a free agent next summer and it is understood that the Blues camp are keen to tie down the Brazil international to extended terms in the English capital.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has suggesed that Chelsea have set in motions plans to offer Silva a new deal that will run until the summer of 2023 which would come as a respite on the contract front for the gaffer Thomas Tuchel.
