Chelsea have joined in on the hunt for Torino central defender Gleison Bremer with Thomas Tuchel facing a defensive exodus come next summer.
Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta have their deals expiring at the end of the season and Tuchel’s repeated attempts to tie the centre-back quartet down to extended terms have proven futile.
According to reports from The Sun, it is claimed that the list of potential replacements at Stamford Bridge has Serie A talent Bremer as one of the top names following his exploits with Torino.
Premier League trio Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Chelsea’s title rivals Liverpool have been credited with a strong interest in landing Bremer who made the move to Italy’s top flight from Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro in 2018.
Into the final 18 months of his stay at Torino, Chelsea could look to make the most of his contract situation and extend an offer for the 24-year-old with Tuchel keen on adding to his options at the back.
