The newly appointed Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick applauded the incredible work done by Thomas Tuchel’s at Chelsea since his appointment earlier this calendar year.
Tuchel brought about a major turnaround at Stamford Bridge after taking over from club icon Frank Lampard with the Blues securing a top-four finish last season coupled with Champions League glory.
The German manager turned Chelsea’s fortunes around in the top flight before guiding them to their second-ever Champions League title with a memorable win in the final over Manchester City.
Chelsea have enjoyed a superb start to the current campaign as well barring recent results including the 3-2 defeat to West Ham United which meant that the table-toppers moved down to third in the league standings.
Rangnick, who recently was hired to the top job at Old Trafford on an interim basis until the end of the current season, has voiced praise for Tuchel’s work at the west London outfit so far ( via reports from Metro).
‘To do what Thomas [Tuchel] did in four months at Chelsea was incredible.’
‘If anyone had told Marina [Granovskaia] or Roman [Abramovich] what would happen or they had looked into a crystal ball to see what would happen in the next four months…incredible.’
‘To win the Champions League, finish fourth in the league, and now be towards the top of the league with almost the same players, is a big achievement. I am not sure I can say that things will develop in the same way for me at Manchester United.’
