Reece James and Jorginho return to the starting team sheet for Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel’s table-toppers taking on West Ham United.
A high-billed London derby is on the cards with the pressure on the visitors to maintain momentum as the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool aim to close the gap at the top of the table.
Chalobah out injured, Thiago Silva comes in
Breakout defensive star Trevoh Chalobah is forced out injured for the weekend affair at the London Stadium with the veteran Brazil international Thiago Silva earning a recall back into the starting XI for Chelsea.
Silva starts at centre-back with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen with both players retaining their spots from the win over Watford midweek.
Kante remains an injury concern for Thomas Tuchel
The Chelsea manager Tuchel is once again unable to call upon the services of his star midfield man N’Golo Kante but has Jorginho back in the centre of the park with Ruben Loftus-Cheek his partner.
Romelu Lukaku starts on the bench for the third game in a row which means that Kai Havertz functions in the central striking role for the Blues in the final third alongside Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount.
