Chelsea clinched a convincing 3-0 win away at Leicester City on Saturday with goals from Rudiger, Kante and Pulisic sealing the deal.

MATCH PROCEEDINGS

Both sides were on equal footing early on in the King Power Stadium showdown but Chelsea had a glorious opportunity through on goal after Jorginho’s quick free-kick sent Ben Chilwell in behind the Leicester backline.

The wing-back’s effort, however, crashed against the crossbar but his ability was key to Chelsea finding their opener as Chilwell’s corner delivery was headed past Kasper Schmeichel by Antonio Rudiger.

Schmeichel was called into action to deny Kante from adding to Chelsea’s advantage but the joy was short-lived as the visitors got their second following a brilliant piece of play from Kante in the final third.

Right after the restart, Chelsea goalie Edouard Mendy had to be sharp to deny James Maddison from pulling one back for his side who threatened going forward in their quest to narrow the deficit.

Callum Hudson-Odoi tried his luck only for the effort to be kept out by Schmeichel but Chelsea did appear to have the match in the bag even before Tuchel’s changes rubbed stamped the three points.

Hakim Ziyech turned provider for his strike partner Chrisitan Pulisic with the latter sliding his effort into the back of the net with the table-toppers Chelsea securing a well-earned win on the travels to East Midlands.
