Real Madrid are reportedly in line to intensify their longstanding efforts to bring in Antonio Rudiger next summer on a free transfer.
The Chelsea contract rebel is understood to be the top name on the shopping list for the Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti who is planning for a major overhaul of his ranks at the end of the season.
Rudiger’s standoff with the Chelsea camp over renewing his terms beyond the next summer has dragged on since the summer and Real Madrid are considered the favourites to land his signature.
The Spanish giants, however, are all set to step up the pursuit for the Germany international central defender, according to reports from Marca, with Bayern Munich also keeping close tabs on the former AS Roma man’s situation in the English capital.
