Premier league giants Chelsea look to cool down contract dissolution on David Luiz by offering him a fresh deal with the existing one due to run out at the end of the 2018/19 season.
Luiz’s return to the Stamford bridge two seasons ago, saw the Brazilian in off a see-saw ride under Antonio Conte’s management. Enjoying rapid success in France with PSG, Luiz secured the English title in his first season of return with the blues starring for whole of the season that term. But things went all wrong in his second stint under Conte who failed to make the best out of the team once again. A red card against Arsenal, under performance in crucial games, losing his place to Andres Christensen and outburst in the training with the manager summoned up Luiz’s terrible title defending campaign along with others.
Now Sarri as the head of tactical responsibility, David is breathing fresh air once again. The center back enjoyed maximum game time in the first five fixtures as well as in the Community shield prior to the new season, cementing his stay in the back four. This suggests that Luiz has injected himself in Sarri’s plans. The manager also confirmed the unity the Brazilian look forward with Chelsea and the future that seems to lock here.
“David has a big future here — he will be very useful for us. I don’t know what happened in the past but now he has a good chance”, the manager remarked earlier in the season. By his words, it is now a legit affair that David will enjoy even more commitments this season.
As a case, Chelsea look to tie him down with a long term contract deal. The club from Stamford Bridge is now ready to offer him a £125,000-a-week contract. This fresh deal is believed to aid him. His extensions ,in happening, now stays at two more years which will really give him a recursion of being great once again.
