Chelsea could gain from Daniel Farke’s sacking at Norwich City with the Blues loanee Billy Gilmour likely to see more first-team action during his stint away from west London.
Gilmour had made the move to Carrow Road this summer in a season-long loan deal with Thomas Tuchel keen on the midfield talent getting some valuable first-team football under his belt.
Despite the Scotland international establishing first-team starting credentials for his new colours, Daniel Farke had overlooked the Chelsea loanee as of late with Gilmour turning out in only six outings so far this new campaign.
Reports from The Daily Express suggest that Farke’s recent sacking could be of importance to Chelsea’s hopes of seeing Gilmour earn game time in the Norwich City shirt ahead of his return to the Stamford Bridge camp next summer.
Chris Wilder, John Terry and Lucien Favre are all understood to be on the list of names pondered over by the Norwich board who have will have act quick to announce Farke’s successor following his axe on Sunday.
