Chelsea are understood to be keeping close tabs on Napoli star forward Victor Osimhen with Thomas Tuchel on the lookout for reinforcements in the attacking department.
Injuries to Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner has left the Chelsea boss Tuchel bereft of striking options with Kai Havertz being drafted as the focal point of attacking for the west Londoners of late.
Amid the speculation growing that Tuchel has asked the Chelsea board for a new striker come January, reports from Spanish news outlet El Nacional suggest that Napoli’s first-teamer Osimhen is one of the names scouted at Stamford Bridge.
The Nigerian forward has been an influential figure in the final third of the pitch for the Serie A heavyweights Napoli for whom he had signed for in last year’s summer window and netted 10 goals in his debut campaign.
Chelsea could be forced to shell out another huge payment in transfer fees on bringing in fresh blood with Napoli rumoured to be seeking a €90 million bid for parting ways with Osimhen.
