Reports from football.london confirm that Chelsea have been drawn against the Premier League’s new boys Brentford in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup with the Blues set to make the travels to the Brentford Community Stadium.
Chelsea have been in flying form this new season with Tuchel’s men firing on all cylinders in spite of recent troubles on the injury front with the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner set for a spell on the sidelines.
Moreover, the club has contract extension deadlocks to focus on with regard to centre-back pairing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen with both players’ contracts at Stamford Bridge due to expire next summer.
