Chelsea are reportedly unwilling to sign Saul Niguez next summer with Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic the new target for Thomas Tuchel’s camp at Stamford Bridge.
Saul linked up with the Blues on deadline day this summer in what was a move to bolster Chelsea’s limited options in the midfield department by Tuchel ahead of the start of the new campaign.
The Atletico Madrid loanee, however, has not enjoyed the start he or the club would have hoped for and there is talk gaining ground that Chelsea will not be considering making his loan transfer permanent next summer.
Reports from Spanish news outlet Larazon claim that with the potential availability of Inter Milan midfield maestro Marcelo Brozovic in the next summer window, Saul’s chances of being retained by Thomas Tuchel’s side have taken a major hit.
The 28-year-old Brozovic is yet to agree on extended terms with Inter Milan beyond the end of the ongoing campaign and a move to the Premier League with a big pay packet in line could be on cards for the Croatian.
