The Chelsea star Hazard praises the team’s mentality for their win against Bournemouth. The team had to be patient in order to score the goal in the second half after the first half being goalless. If one has to score in the second half, it is difficult but not for the Blues who have made a habit of scoring in the later stages of the game.
Eden Hazard in a recent interview credited the dressing room environment for their win and why not. He said:
“After the first half we talked together in the dressing room and said it was the kind of game where we need to be patient,’ he said. ‘When things are not good you need to be patient, you need to move the ball quick, like we did in the second half. Then when we have a chance we need to score and that’s what we did.”
“We have a lot of players who can score, Pedro did well and then we controlled the game so I think we deserved to win. A bit like Newcastle last week, it was a difficult game and Bournemouth defended well. We just need to keep the ball and move it quickly because in the first half we were a bit slower.”
Hazard also applauded the fellow team mate Giroud for coming out of the bench and making an impact while combining beautifully with Pedro and helping the Spaniard score. “I think the players on the bench can start and the players in the starting 11 can be on the bench,’ he explained. ‘That’s why we are a good team – we have a lot of good players, not just the 11 on the pitch, we are a group. I am happy for Pedro and Olivier, and for all Chelsea fans.”
