Newcastle United backed to eye up a move for Chelsea star loanee Conor Gallagher following their recent takeover by a Saudi Arabia-based group.
The Magpies will be looking to bring in fresh blood in the forthcoming transfer windows and reports from The Daily Mail suggest that the young midfielder Gallagher will be a name on the shopping list for Newcastle who are in line to hire Graeme Jones as their new boss.
Gallagher, currently out on loan at Crystal Palace, has been a hit for his new club since leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer on a season-long loan deal to further his first-team opportunities elsewhere.
Thomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of the 21-year-old and the Chelsea manager was key to shipping out Gallagher for some much-needed game time which was hard to come his way at Chelsea with the likes of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho ahead in the pecking order.
It remains to be seen whether a potential big-money offer from Newcastle United could tempt Chelsea and Tuchel into parting ways with an exciting young talent in Gallagher who has been tipped to become a major presence at the Bridge in the years to come.
