Inter Milan hoping to follow up on their interest in Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso who is now a regular on the teamsheet at Stamford Bridge early on in this new season.
The Spain international has found favour once again in the Chelsea shirt with Thomas Tuchel drafting Alonso ahead of last summer’s big-money signing Ben Chilwell in the left wing-back role.
Serie A holders Inter Milan had been credited with a strong interest in making a move for Alonso’s services in this summer’s transfer window but the player ended up staying put at Stamford Bridge.
Reports from the Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb ( via The Goal) claim that Inter Milan are likely to revive the interest in landing Alonso from the Chelsea camp with the defender still high on the shopping list for the San Siro outfit.
Tuchel has had his faith in Alonso’s extended run of first-team involvement repaid richly as the 30-year-old has put out an impressive string of displays on both defensive and attacking fronts with Chelsea top of the league standings.
