A surprise breakout star at Stamford Bridge in Trevor Chalobah is backed to be in line to be offered a new long-term deal by Chelsea sooner rather than later.
Chalobah has stepped up his displays for the Blues early on in this new campaign with the 22-year-old defender proving himself to be a contender for cementing a first-team berth in Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Italian journalist Nicolò Schira has claimed that Chelsea are pushing for a new contract to be tabled in front of Chalobah with talks with the player’s agent Frank Trimboli in full swing.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of star defenders across the continent, including Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt, but Tuchel could be lured into tying down his breakout defensive name in Chalobah to a long-term extension at the Bridge on the back of his spectacular run of form.
Chalobah’s current deal with the west London giants comes to a close in the summer of 2023 and a handful of clubs are likely to keep tabs on the centre-back following his recent displays in England’s top flight division.
