Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi reportedly feels let down over his failure to secure a move to Borussia Dortmund in this summer’s transfer window.
Reports from The Athletic have suggested that the young England international is disappointed over being denied a chance to leave Stamford Bridge when Dortmund were credited with an interest in signing him on loan.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is understood to have blocked Hudson-Odoi’s move away from the Bridge to sign for Dortmund with the German coach expecting the player to compete for a starting berth in the Chelsea colours.
Squad depth is believed to be another reason behind Tuchel wanting Hudson-Odoi to stay put with the Blues as the Chelsea manager sanctioned the exits of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham this summer which reduced his attacking options in the camp.
The player could well very call it quits in the upcoming January window but the promising talent will be backed to make a mark on Thomas Tuchel with his showings in the limited first-team action coming his way this season.
