Another of Stamford Bridge’s youth products is set for a move away from the club this summer with full-back Dujon Sterling claimed to be in line to sign for Championship club Blackpool on a season-long loan deal.
Reports from BBC Sport indicate that the England U21 international will be heading out the exit door at the Bridge to seal his move to Blackpool who are landing his signature until the next summer window.
Sterling will be penning an extension with the west London giants before signing for his new side where he will be backed to secure regular first-team football which would have come his way should he have stayed put with Thomas Tuchel’s side.
The Chelsea boss Tuchel has established options to draft in the wing-back role on the right flank for Chelsea with Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta the two contenders for a starting spot on the teamsheet for the Blues.
Sterling’s exit will be the second right-back leaving the Chelsea camp in this summer’s transfer window after Italy international Davide Zappacosta had made his switch to Atalanta on a permanent basis.
