Chelsea defender Matt Miazga is on the verge of signing for La Liga outfit Alavés in a season-long loan deal that will run until the summer of 2022.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the USA international central defender is nearing his move to Spain to sign for Alavés with the final talks underway between the two clubs.

Romano adds that both Miazga’s deal, as well as Michy Batshuayi’s move away from Stamford Bridge to Turkish side Besiktas, will be confirmed next week as Chelsea look set to create space in their first-team ranks for any potential new signings before the transfer window’s deadline.
Batshuayi is understood to be in line to seal his much-anticipated exit from the Chelsea camp this summer with the Belgian international forward not backed to have a future at Stamford Bridge beyond the ongoing transfer window.
The 27-year-old endured a run of inconsistent displays whilst on loan at Premier League club Crystal Palace last season and looks keen to move abroad with Besiktas looking to sign him on a permanent basis.
