Chelsea playmaker Conor Gallagher is rumoured to be poised to join fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace in a season-long loan agreement, according to the latest set of reports from The Express.
The 21-year-old midfield prodigy has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in this summer’s transfer window with Leeds United and Newcastle United joining Palace in the race to sign the youngster.
However, it is understood that the Selhurst Park outfit have emerged as the winners of that race to land Gallagher’s signature for the upcoming campaign where the player will be key to the new Palace boss Patrick Viera’s plans.
Thomas Tuchel was believed to be keen on shipping out the Chelsea starlet for the 2021-22 season with the hopes of Gallagher earning some regular first-team action on his year-long stint away from his parent club.
Tuchel has his transfer priority set this summer in making a big-money swoop for West Ham United midfield maestro Declan Rice who is increasingly keen on calling it quits ahead of the start of the new season amid strong interest in his services from the Chelsea camp.
