Bayern Munich talisman Robert Lewandowski is a key target for Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea after the recent talk has suggested that Erling Haaland might not be making the move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Borussia Dortmund sensation has been a priority target for Tuchel since the transfer window got underway but the Chelsea boss’ repeated attempts to sign Haaland has failed to bear any fruits with Dortmund reluctant to part ways with their prized attacking asset.
Reports from The Express claim that owing to the likely failure of landing Haaland’s signature to add to their options up on the pitch, the west London giants will be seen stepping up their long-standing interest in signing in Bayern Munich’s highly-rated star striker Robert Lewandowski.
The Poland international is certain to be a difficult target to land this summer for Chelsea but it is understood that the Blues will be hoping to make the most of their recent success under Tuchel’s charge to lure the 32-year-old Lewandowski with a switch to west London.
Chelsea are in dire need of attacking reinforcements this summer with Olivier Giroud having sealed his move to AC Milan and Tammy Abraham heavily backed to call it quits at Stamford Bridge amid Arsenal showing strong interest in the 23-year-old.
