West Brom looking to make a move for Chelsea midfielder Trevoh Chalobah

Stamford Bridge outcast Trevoh Chalobah is being eyed up by West Brom as the midfield player’s future in the Chelsea shirt fails to be certain beyond this summer’s transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been shipped out of Stamford Bridge for each of the past three campaigns, including the last one where he had a stint at Ligue 1 outfit Lorient to much success, and it seems as if another year away from Chelsea for the Englishman.

Pete O’Rourke claims that West Brom, who are now in the Championship after their relegation last season, are in line to table an offer for Chalobah this summer with a permanent move being thought of by The Baggies.

Chelsea are not backed to shore up their midfield options in the ongoing transfer window despite having sanctioned the season-long loan of the highly-promising Billy Gilmour to Premier League new boys Norwich City.

The fringe likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley and Tiémoué Bakayoko are set to head into the pre-season camp with Thomas Tuchel’s side despite speculation being rife about their long-term futures at the Bridge beyond this summer’s window.
