Serie A giants AC Milan revive interest in signing Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko

AC Milan are in the transfer market for another Chelsea player it seems with the Italians reigniting their interest in making a move for France international Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Reports from CalcioMercato claim that the Serie A outfit are interested in signing the midfielder who has spent a season on loan at San Siro previously in what has been a number of spells away from Stamford Bridge in recent years for Bakayoko.

With his long-term future backed to lie away once again with the onset of the summer transfer window, AC Milan’s interest in the Frenchman could coax Thomas Tuchel to sanction his sale on a permanent basis this time around.

It is understood that Chelsea are looking for a €20 million payout to part ways with Bakayoko this summer which on paper appears to be a reasonable fee to pocket in the process of offloading a fringe player at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues’ attention has drifted towards a couple of midfield options in the market, including the in-form Italy man Manuel Locatelli, and Bakayoko’s move to Milan could free up both space and funds for Tuchel to use in the summer.
