Thomas Tuchel has put pen to paper on a two-year-long contract extension at Stamford Bridge with the Chelsea boss keen to enter the new season with a long-term contract under his belt.
Following the Blues emerging triumphant in the Champions League final in the backend of May, Tuchel had been tipped to sign an extension just four months into his hiring to the top job at the west London giants.

Reports from the club’s official website confirm the German coach committing the near future at the Bridge and Tuchel voiced his delight at the same as he expressed his gratitude for his experience so far overseeing the Blues.

Chelsea’s superb form under Tuchel key to his extension
The former Paris-Saint Germain boss took over in the early days of 2021 when Chelsea were struggling to move into the top-six of the Premier League table and the subsequent run of form showcased under the German are believed to be key to his extension offered by Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia.
Tuchel took the Blues to the final of the FA Cup in which they came out second best to Leicester City, oversaw Chelsea clinch a fourth-place finish on the final day of play and concluded the season on a euphoric high by winning the Champions League title.
