Confirmed Lineups: Chelsea vs Real Madrid- Rudiger returns | Champions League 20-21

Antonio Rudiger returns to the Chelsea backline after his recent spell on the sidelines with the Blues welcoming Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of the semi-final clash.

Thomas Tuchel’s men will be hoping to book their place in the finals of the Champions League and play against Premier League foes Manchester City who ensured their spot courtesy of a convincing win over PSG on Tuesday night.

Rudiger returns as Zouma drops out

As was expected with Antonio Rudiger’s inclusion into the starting eleven for the west London giants it is Kurt Zouma who will have to make way for the German international to be reinstated in the three-man defensive core.

Andres Christensen and Thiago Silva retain their places as Cesar Azpilicuetta is once again drafted in the right wing-back role with Reece James missing out on the midweek fixture.

Havertz retains his spot as the No.9

In the aftermath of his wonderful two-goal showing in the recent win over Fulham, Kai Havertz is trusted with the central striking responsibilities for the Blues as Timo Werner and Mason Mount slot in just behind the German in the frontline.

Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are both on the bench as are the likes of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham with Tuchel having a host of attacking big names to call upon.

Here is how both teams line up for today’s Champions League fixture:

Chelsea XI

Mendy, Christensen, Thiago Silva, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Kante, Jorginho, Chilwell, Mount, Havertz, Werner

Real Madrid XI

Courtois, Militao, Ramos, Nacho, Mendy, Modric, Casemiro, Kroos, Vini Jr, Hazard, Benzema
